Vu here…The year 2009 has brought a particularly serious weed up my ass.
I am sick and tired of so called ‘experts’ teaching suicidal, ‘kamikaze’ knife fighting tactics to open
minded and serious practitioners of self-defense, law enforcement, Martial Artists and even our Military.
In order for the coalition of forces to be with us we are going to counter this by making qualified Instructors.
We need to do away with the myths of edged weapons training. This is why it has become my goal to make
Qualified/ Certified Instructors who can pass along the recently declassified SEAL Team 6 edged weapons program.
This alignment will bring about a coalition of forces that is with us. We will have up to date Certified Instructors
that can now teach the same tactics that I taught to SEAL team 6, DEA, FBI, CIA, 50 different law enforcement
departments, the Department of Defense and 13 other ‘Special’ government agencies. I’ll be sending my top
teachers to the Midwest, EastCoast, and SouthWest on a Mission. This Mission involves shedding the myths
around edged weapons defense, and sharing with you the highest level principles of edged weapons defense and offense,(when called for!). Please don’t get this confused with any other seminar… This is Military Technology!

We have an instant “Master of the Blade”! There is no way for a student to judge the authenticity of an edged weapons instructor because there are so few knife fighting tournaments. Most instructors will never admit that they themselves, the Grand Poo Baa’s of knife fighting, have only a slight, I mean slight 5% advantage at most over anyone that picks up a blade. The unpredictability is infinite, and the respect must be given to the opponent and the razor’s edge.”

“I am a thirty year veteran in law enforcement with the Lake County Sheriff’s Department, (Chicago). During my tenure as a patrolman, and detective I also had the opportunity to serve as a defensive tactics instructor. My background in martial arts began at age twelve with western boxing, and during high school,and college I studied Okinawan Shuto Kan Karate, and Aikido. Working as street cop I began to see what was functional, and quickly learned what wasn’t. Edged Weapons Seminar : Equipment Information : Important MUST READ !
Dear Friends,
We are looking forward to seeing you on Saturday May 2nd. Please see important information below.
Adddress: PFS JKD Academy(Hope Services Building) - 1555 Parkmoor Ave, San Jose CA - 95128, we are located behind the Harley Davidson Building.
Time: 10:30am sharp please be there for check in no later than 10:30. Seminar will start at 11:00 am and go till 4:00pm. We will have a 1 hour lunch break.
You must bring your own equipment.
EQUIPMENT:

EYE Protection : Racquetball goggles are the best. You can also use swimming goggles, or chemistry eye protectors. You must bring your own eye protection, if you want to take part in the knife fighting tournament. Remember this is a point fighting knife fighting tournament using light contact and Soft-STX.
HAND Protection: Bag Gloves, or Lacrosse or Hockey Gloves will do. Just make sure you can hold a knife and stick with gloves on.
Training Knives & Sticks: Please bring your training blades and a pair of sticks, we will have a limited quantity for purchase. Wooden knives will also do. Remember
if you are flying that you should check in your weapons bag. Do not try to carry it on.
Bring your Cameras for pictures with Sifu Paul Vunak and your fellow PFS Brothers and Sisters.

Protective Eyewear for Knife Fighting Tournament is Mandatory !
Hello Everyone,
For those of you that want to take part in the knife fighting tournament during the seminar you MUST BRING YOUR OWN protective Eyewear. You will not be allowed to participate without it.
We will be using standard soft-stx knives, some people may need protective hand wear also.
