Clay has been involved with Progressive Fighting Systems for over 10 years. He began his martial arts training at 11 years old with PFS Senior Instructor Joe Soliz. Clay had tried out other arts before this but all experiences where very brief. Even at a young age Clay had a good eye for what was and was not realistic. After the first class with Sifu Soliz clay knew he had found what he had been looking for. After several years of training Clay recived an Apprentice Instructorship under Sfiu Joe Soliz. While still in highschool Clay began to teach classes out of his garage. Clay continued his training with Sifu Soliz and also began to train with PFS founder Sigung Paul Vunak. Training with Sigung Paul started first with his famous Serria Summit Retreats and other seminars then later private IPTP training. Clay is currently a Full Instructor in Progressive Fighting Systems and Desendants of the Masters. Clay travels out to train with Sigung Paul and Sifu Singh on a monthly bases as well as still trains with Sifu Joe Soliz. Clay has trained in a variety of martial arts with many different Instructors. From traditional martial arts to MMA clay has tried out everything he can get his hands on. Clay spent alot of time training Jiu-Jitsu and MMA with Sifu Soliz and after hearing stories of the Graice Family for so many years started training with them as well. Clay was later given an Instructor Certification in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu by Grand Master Rorion Gracie, Ryron Gracie, and Rener Gracie. Clay now owns and operates the Tactical Defense Academy In El Camp Texas. He currently trains MMA fighters, Boxers, Jiu-Jitsu Competitors along with his JKD training. Clay works with children, men, women, law enforcement, and military personel.
