David Reininger:
Biography:
Dave Reininger was born in Trenton, NJ on June 18, 1963. He moved to Bowling Green, KY to attend Western Kentucky University in 1983 where he first started in the martial arts taking all courses offered (Taekwondo, Karate and Kung Fu). After graduating in 1989 with a B.S. Degree in Industrial Engineering, he moved to Nashville, TN where he took his first job as a design engineer for a fire protection contractor. He trained on his own until 1995 when he started training in Taekwondo, where eventually he earned his 4th degree black belt in 2009.
While studying Taekwondo, he developed an interest in Jeet Kune Do, and started studying the art through DVD’s instructed by Paul Vunak.
Dave has attended seminars by Dan Inosanto, Tom Cruse and Relson Gracie. Dave attended the 2010 PFS Sierra Summit at Lake Isabella, California where he became certified in Law Enforcement Continuum, and Edged weapons. Dave has also trained extensively with Kruu Rick Caudle, who has over 35 years of martial arts experience.
For past 4 years, Dave has instructed people from friends to family to neighbors who have shown an interest in learning real self-defense. Dave has spent many years on the tournament circuit where he learned the limitations of training in the traditional martial arts where people are mainly interested in the sport aspect of the martial arts.
