"The Marco A. Alvan Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Training Center is proud to announce that we conducted a special tactical training for Law Enforcement personnel only. The tactical training was held at the Marco Alvan BJJ training Center,71 East St. Ludlow, MA. The 8 hours course was a special training seminar for a highly trained tactical unit from the Hampden County Sheriff's Dept., under the auspices of Hampden County Sheriff Michael J. Ashe. The tactical training was for Law Enforcement personnel only and was closed to the general public. The training was conducted by Marco A. Alvan, A Brazilian native and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, a former 1st. Lieutenant in the Brazilian Army and a undefeated mixed martial arts fighter; Clayton L. Roberson Jr., a 20 year veteran Police Officer, a former certified defensive tactics instructor, a former rapid deployment instructor, a former (swat) entry team member, a current special defensive tactics instructor for police officers and a former Hvy. weight kickboxing champion, and Hector Arvelo, a Hampden County Sheriff defensive tactics instructor as well as certified in several disciplines relating to Law Enforcement and personal protection. We are looking forward to conducting a series of trainings specifically designed for Law Enforcement personnel who work high risk jobs or details in adverse conditions with subjects who are non compliant or combative. Biography:

Have been training over 25 yrs. Started out boxing then Muay Loas then JKD and Kali, to Defensive Tactics to Fire Arms to Submission Wrestling and BJJ. Have numerous certifications and Instructorships. The last 2 yrs. I have been intergrating and field testing my PFS training and the State of Massachusetts Defensive Tactics Program and Fire Arms Program into a Officers Survival Program. Based on training progression, experiance and martial back ground. I teach a small selected group of martial artist with mostly military and Law Enforcement back grounds. I have been teaching and training within the Hampden Sheriff's Office from 1997 to the present. Have trained with numerous world class instructors and continue to do so. Will be more active with PFS/DOM in the very near future hope to meet and train with all DOM members very soon. Thank You.
