 Jose had an interest in fighting and martial arts and when he first heard about  Paul Vunak's Contemporary Jeet Kune do, he was all in. so he decided to accept an invitation to meet with Paul Vunak. Shortly thereafter Jose attended the Enigma Training Seminar in 2008. Jose was impressed not only by the functional tactics being taught but by the attribute development that was stressed. Jose threw himself at training full force as he accepted Paul as his Sifu (teacher).  He was amazed to see how fast he was learning and becoming functional under Sifu Vunak.

September 28th 2008 Jose received his Apprentice Instructorship. This was a milestone for him as the effective concepts, and incomparable training lit Jose's passion for Jeet Kune Do. Jose wanted to be able to offer that same experience to others. As he continued to put in work with Sifu Paul and the other high ranking instructors in the organization Jose reached his next milestone in his martial arts development was marked by receiving his C.E.I. Instructorship on 8/18/09 and his phase one Instructorship.Jose accepted an opportunity that he couldn't  refuse, having  Private training with Sigung Paul Vunak and sifu Tom Cruse and having Sifu Harinder Singh taking Jose under his wing and training privately 7 days a week. Jose's private training from his mentors has allowed him to thrive as a student, martial artist and human being.

Aside from martial arts Jose is interested in nutrition, fitness and information on developing a positive mindset in training and in life. Jose believes that this has helped him immensely in reaching his past goals and is invaluable as he works towards his future goals. This multi dimensional approach to development is, in Jose's opinion, the difference between a good and a great coach. It is his hope that he may impart what he learns through his personal studies to his students.

Currently Jose is training Navy SEALs, police officers, martial artist and civillians. When he is not teaching, he spends his time training Privately with Sigung Paul Vunak and Sifu Harinder Singh. Jose's primary goal is to follow Paul's lead in imparting seriously effective self defense training and attribute development to his students as he upholds Jeet Kune Do's standards of excellence first created by Bruce Lee, maintained rigorously by Dan Inosanto and perpetuated by his sifu Paul Vunak.

Jose's commitment to his students is to ensure they both develop their attributes as a fighter that can defend him or her self no matter the situation while they have fun becoming healthier, confident and fit through Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do and action strength. Jose offers training in a semi private or private format to ensure all students receive the personal attention required to reach their goals.
