– Michael was enrolled in his first martial arts class at the age of 8. This was done to counter act the social stigma that occurred from being placed in “Special Ed” in 1978. Since that time, Michael has received black belts in two different arts, ranks in 6 other traditional arts, received Instructorship within PFS, Attended Bodyguard Training. Finished college and continues to be well read in many aspects.

Michael was first introduced to Jeet Kune Do in 1990. By 1995 He had received his apprentice instructorship and was training extensively with Thomas Cruse. After years of hardcore training, both in martial arts and life, Michael is presently at the very top of his game in every aspect. In 2009 Michael was proud to receive his Senior Instructorship with PFS. In 2010 Michael was also named as the Midwest Regional Certification officer for Progressive Fighting Systems. Michael is also a Senior Security Specialist with a nationaly recognized protection agency and has worked in the club and bar industry within Chicago for the past 20 years. "Real world experience!"

Michael  has presently infultrated the "main line", and has begun teaching the PFS/ Contemporary JKD curriculum at the renowned, Depaul University in Chicago.
From “Big Wigs” to “Small Gigs”, Michael has trained people from all over the globe. Although there are numerous accolades that can be listed, such as; Certificates and Awards, Private & Public Law Enforcement and even Celebrity Endorsements, Michael is most proud of the simpler achievements.
